You have built a list, now you can start making money right? Wrong, if you go about it the wrong way and many people do. The building of a list is the easy part, getting your list to send you money is a whole different story. List building is the best way in my opinion to earn money online. Build a list of targeted customers and you can build a steady stream of income for years to come. What I want to teach you here is how to build trust and respect with those on your list.

To many time marketers spend all of their time building lists because they can not keep the people they already have and they need a steady influx of new ones to replace those who have "opted-out". These marketers flood their list with offers hoping that they will purchase something, but what ends up happening is the list dwindles they make a few sales and they have to continue building their list. This cycle lends itself to a meager income and even less respect.

The first and most important tip I can give you is to treat your list with the same respect that you would want to be treated with. What do I mean by that? Don't fill their inbox with offer after offer because this is the quickest way to shorten your list in a hurry. The amount of sales you get are not worth the hassle of trying to replace what you have lost. If you have targeted your list when you built it then you know what they are looking for and what would interest them. Only send them the very best offers, make sure it is something that you are proud to put your name too. This one tip alone will cause your list to trust you and be more willing to purchase something when you promote it.

The tip I want to leave you with is to cultivate your list. You expect your list to give you something, but what are you giving them in return? If all you do is promote products to your list then you will surely watch it wither and die like a flower that does not get any water. This part is important so I want you to read it slowly and take it to heart! Your list should get more from you than you get from them. They look to you as the expert in whatever niche you have targeted, so you need to do your best to be that for them.

This is where cultivating your list comes into play. You should send your list more free information and training than offers, let them know that they are not just there for you to make money from. Some of the best lists that I am on send me very few offers or promotions, but when they do I trust that what they are promoting is something that will benefit me. When you learn something new, pass it on to your list and let them know that your first and foremost intention is to help them.

When those on your list trust you and come to expect only the best information and promotions, you will see an increase in conversions and a decrease in opt-outs. Spend less time building your list and more time maintaining it and you will reap the benefits. Become the email they look forward to getting and you will build not only your bank account, but your reputation as well.
