Maybe many friends don't know what a MapleStory monster book is ? So I collect this brief guide for you wish it will do you a favor . Hope you like !

What is a monster book?

A monster book is a book with information about monsters, it shows the picture of the monster, hp/mp, story, item drops and maple story mesos  locations of the monster.

How do you view your monster book?

You can easily view your monster book by pressing the hotkey you assigned the monster book key to or you can also double click on any monster and the monster book will automatically open to that monster.

How do I get the information of the monster into my book?

The information of the monster is automatically put into the book once you collect at least one card of the monster. But to collect all information of the monster you must collect five cards of the same monster. Each card you collect will give you a bonus something like this. (some cards are glitched atm)

1st card - Puts the picture of monster in book
2nd card - Shows amount of Hp and maplestory mesos  Mp the monster has
3rd card - Tells the story about the monster
4th card - Shows the drops of the monster (also shows animation of monster being attacked when you click on the pic of the monster in the book)
5th card - Shows the locations of the monster (also shows the animation of the monster dying when you click on the pic of the monster in the book)

What happens after i collect all five cards?

After you collect all five cards of the same monster the cards will continue to drop from the monster but it is useless and maple story mesos  does not add any additional information to the book. Also you will get 15% more experience from that monster for one hour. After the 15% experience bonus runs out you cannot get another 15% bonus from the same monster by collecting five cards from the monster but you can from another monster.

Why are the monsters placed in different colors in the book?

The monsters are placed in the book based on their levels
Red - Lv.0 to Lv.15
Orange - Lv.16 to Lv.30

Light Green - Lv.31 to Lv.45

Green - Lv.46 to Lv.60
