You can now have fun, saving you energy, money and time, whilst helping make a better future for every one with some of the new products available on the internet. Ever thought of how you could influence your children, friends and family on how to save energy? Well here’s an idea! Why not buy them an eco friendly gift that is solar powered! Not only will they be thankful for the gift but they will also be intrigued and interested in its purpose too; to help the future as well as to entertain.

Have a look out there on the web, there are so many web sites selling these fabulous entertaining gifts, I discovered that you can buy all sorts of gifts and toys, such as; mini solar powered walking robots, you can learn how to assemble a gear box and use a solar panel to turn a motor and watch the robot walk when the sun shines. There are also solar powered carousels, these are beautifully hand painted too, and they turn in the sun, a truly magical idea, and great for any toddler.

You can also get great solar powered gifts for the office, such as the solar powered bi-plane, you can pop it on your desk and watch the propellers spin as the sun shines, they even work under a desk lamp.

There are also staple-less staplers available, although they're not solar powered they are still highly environmentally friendly: Eco Stapler - uses no staples: saves metal and you'll never run out of staples again! It will clip up to 3 pages together by a clever cutting and folding action which happens as you clip.Great for home and office – it's pocket sized.

Useful for offices, homework, and also ideal for attaching cheques to payment slips where paper clips or staples cannot be used. I even found a water powered calculator, one of the most unique water powered products on the market. To power this pocket calculator, you just add water to the removable water battery in the back - no need for batteries ever again.

Amongst a lot of things you can even get a solar powered 'keep cool' hat which uses the suns rays to power the fan on the hat to cool you down. Geeky but funny. These web sites are actually fantastic, not only for entertainment values but also for educational purposes, and I do think that schools should use these products as a way of experimenting with solar power and teaching it, which would then make children and parents more aware of its efficiency, because lets face it, energy wasting is happening so much because of the lack of education that there is about it.

So it would be a good idea to check out these web sites your selves and see how they work, because solar power is getting big, and more people should know more about it. So get out there and have fun in the sun with solar powered toys and accessories.
